Hey friends! I don’t usually post about new blogs (actually it’s not really a new blog but I just found it!), but wanted to let you know that this one totally rocks! Her name is Jaden Stafford, a high school student that goes to Refuge. She’s beautiful, talented, cool, funny and is quite an amazing writer. I think you’ll enjoy her posts very much!!

So, this morning I got a phone call from my boss who has been fighting the sinus crud. He wanted me to stop by Walgreens on the way to work and pick him up some off-the-shelf medicine. No problem! I went to the back of the store and found what I thought he wanted and asked the pharmacist just to make sure. After the pharmacist told me that yes, I had picked up the correct medication, I went to the front of the store to checkout. As soon as I got to the register, the check-out girl told me the pharmacist had called her to tell her to check my I.D. and make sure I was over 18! Wait…what? Over 18? She had no idea! I told her that I was way older than 18 and told her I was 32! She sort of looked at me funny and then said something about not believing I was 32 (in a complimentary way)…a reaction I get most of the time when I meet new people. No biggie! I kind of thought she would just believe me and blow it off but then she asked for my license! Wow! I had to go out to my car and get my license to prove to her I was how old I said I was. That’s a first for me. I mean, people tell me I look young, usually anywhere between 21 and 25, but never 18! I don’t even think I look THAT young! Give me a break!! Well, at least I got a good laugh out of it!
