Well, it has been a crazy week for my family, but in the end, we are so grateful to so many people for all of the support we’ve been given.  From the bottom of our hearts, we say THANKS to everyone who spent hours upon hours praying for my little sister.  It is only by the grace of God and the powerful prayers from our friends and family (including our church family) that she is alive today – and on the road to a changed new life!!  We are doing great, as well as Jena, and couldn’t have made it through this week without everyone’s encouragement.  One thing I know, is that when your family is going through difficult times, it is absolutely essential to have your church family around you and prayer warriors who will pray as if they are the ones going through it!

We, as a family, have also had a huge revelation:  Don’t ever underestimate the power of prayer.  There were times that we questioned if everything was going to work out, we doubted God.  But in the end, He has proven to be faithful once again.  We have absolutely got to surrender everything to Him, and then have FAITH and TRUST that the situation is in HIS HANDS.  And everything will work out for the GOOD of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose!!

As God worked this devastating situation out for good, I was reminded about the scripture, “The prayers of a righteous man availeth much.” God did not ignore the prayers of His children, He heard our prayers, saw our tears, and just wanted us to give my sister to Him, because after all, He is her creator! And when we did this, God proved to us that he always has our best interest at heart, and HE IS OUR HEALER, OUR SAVIOR, OUR COMFORT, OUR JOY, OUR LORD and HE IS ALL POWERFUL!

Love you all!

As many of you know, Amy Stockstill (Joel Stockstill’s wife) has been in the hospital fighting for her life. (For those of you who don’t know, Joel pastors Bethany North.) We believe that God is calling us as a church family to stand with Bethany and with the Stockstill family during this time, so this Wednesday night (Feb. 13) we will not be having service at the Highland Campus. Refuge and PathFinders will also not be meeting. Instead, we’re all going to join Bethany South on Wednesday night to believe with them in prayer. The prayer service will begin at 6 p.m., and worship will begin at 6:30 p.m. At this time, there is no need for volunteers.
