In the spirit of Christmas…
December 21, 2007
With all the debate about being “politically correct” at Christmas…I just had to post my favorite You Tube video…Larry the Cable Guy reading, “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” Try not to pee in your pants from laughing too hard!
Oh, and by the way, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Weekend in HOTLANTA!
December 3, 2007
Wow! What a weekend!! This has probably been the most random spontaneous weekend of my life! Thursday night, Emily and I decided to go to the SEC Championship game in Atlanta. So we arranged to ride with some great friends, Daniel, Will and Matt, who graciously waited to leave Baton Rouge until after our life group Friday night. Yeah, they’re really nice guys to say the least! So all 5 of us headed to Atlanta about 10:30 p.m. Friday and arrived in Atlanta about 8:00 Saturday morning. I think, between the 3 guys, they probably drank 100 cups of coffee!! We got a couple hours of sleep, then headed to the Georgia Dome.
We met up with Corey and Boston who had some pretty amazing seats for Em and I. We were on the 50-yard line, 3 rows up from the bottom, right behind the LSU players! I could actually read their jerseys, something I can never do. Thanks, Corey for the awesome seats! We had such a great time at the game…even Em loved it and participated in the cheers! Haha! We stayed at Corey’s parents house that night…they live on the edge of Chatanooga and have a view of Lookout Mountain! Beautiful scenery!! His family is so sweet, with his mom cooking us a wonderful breakfast Sunday morning.
On the way home from Atlanta Sunday, Will, Daniel, Matt, me and Em all played the Name Game…we ended up playing it for 4 hours!! We had so many laughs during the game, especially between Daniel and Em who were competing for the double letter names! It was quite hysterical…and Em won most of the “battles!” Sorry, Daniel!!
As for the Tigers, they deserve this championship…I honestly don’t know how they pull out some of these wins, but I do know that this LSU team fights hard…they fight till the end…and they have a lot of heart. I’m so glad we went to support them. It sure makes the long trip to Atlanta worth it!!
We finished our weekend by going to see CATS last night at the River Center! I am a HUGE fan of Broadway and I loved it! Amazing costumes, stage set, lighting, dancing and wow…the singing!! AWESOME musical! The only bad part of the whole weekend was that we all forgot to bring a camera! I know…tragedy! We all were so upset that we forgot…not one of us remembered a camera! Oh well…we’ll remember this trip forever…it was quite a memorable one!
